Hope Hospital, Salford

Consort Healthcare (Salford), the concession company awarded the 30-year, £135 million project to design, build, finance and operate Hope Hospital Salford.

Balfour Beatty's shareholding is 50%. Our 50% shareholder partner is HSBC Investment Management 2.

Will deliver a new 222 bed acute hospital including both outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as a new Emergency Village which will include the emergency assessment unit and critical care facilities adjacent to one another.

Additional work includes the building of a new Education Centre including lecture theatres, a library, 30 seminar/training rooms and numerous interview rooms. There will be a new main entrance created on Eccles Old Road, giving people easier access to the hospital. A new entrance for cars will also be created with redesigned junctions to help with traffic congestion. A brand new multi storey car park is to be built alongside the M602.

Construction work is being undertaken through a joint venture between Balfour Beatty Construction and Balfour Beatty Engineering Services
